Training Seminar
Dimitrovgrad, 16 October 2019
Project Beneficiary 2 – the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad – organised and hosted a training seminar with the participation of local authorities’ personnel, water management experts and consultants from Bulgaria and Greece. The Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Mr. Ivo Dimov welcomed the participants and underlined the expected role of Aqua-lity project’s outputs for the improvement of the municipal water management in the municipality and the cooperation with the Municipality of Oraiokastro in this field. Presentations named Legislative framework, Responsible institutions, Water quality problems in Dimitrovgrad and relevant measures, Technological capabilities of the installed equipment at selected points for monitoring water quality and demonstration of specialized software for access and management of data from monitoring telemetric stations were made. Every presentation was followed by a discussion and a question-and-answer session. At the end of the seminar, the participants visited Chernokonevo pumping station where was made a demonstration of the operation of one of the five telemetric monitoring stations that were recently mounted within the framework of the project.
